We are Cinergia, a Colombian production company founded in 2012 by anthropologist and filmmaker Germán Piffano and producer Victoria Cedeño. We have 13 years of experience as an audiovisual production company. Cinergia was created with the purpose of contributing to the development of the film and audiovisual content industry in Colombia and Latin America. Cinergia comes from the word "synergy," which means the union of several forces generates a force greater than that of individual forces. This means that synergy highlights collaborative work, unity, and cooperation. At Cinergia, we strive to strengthen our projects through alliances and cooperation. Our experience is highlighted by documentary productions that have been screened in national movie theaters and international film festivals. Our stories focus on addressing social issues that highlight realities ranging from social exclusion in cities, the marginalization of Latinos in Europe, to the current situation of Indigenous and Afro-descendant communities. Our creations always have a solid foundation of anthropological research, making the stories we tell unique and contributing to the education and culture of the planet.
